Weekender Bag // Dress [size down, runs large]

Disclosure: Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post. All products were selected, used, and loved by Katy, Content Creator at LIY.

Hi, friends! Katy here – content creator at LIY and mama to an 8 month old baby boy, Denver! Weekend getaways are good for the soul, but they look a bit different these days with our little man (but also SO much fun). I can turn to Walmart to grab ALL of the items I need for me, my husband, and baby! It’s so nice to shop all in one spot and to be able to grab things at a great price too. So, let’s go on a weekend vacay…shall we?

Travel

Evenflo Carseat and Travel System // Weekender Bag // Shorts [size down if in between] // Jacket [true to size] // Denver’s Onesie [3 pack] // Sneakers [true to size]

Travel days are all about comfort for me! I love that this jacket gives an athleisure look more of an elevated feel! Also, THESE. SNEAKERS. I feel like I need to tell everyone I know about them. They are under $15 (WHOA) and feel super high end!

Evenflo Victory Plus Jogging Stroller

I LOVE this jogging stroller. It’s SO smooth gliding over any big bumps, and is so easy to pop up. I also love that it works with my Evenflo carseat so I can still have him facing in if needed during naps. Perfect to take in all of the sights in a new town in any terrain!

What To Pack

Weekender Bag / Onesie’s [3 pack] / Block Heel / Sneakers

Packing for yourself and a baby can be a lot, but don’t you worry I’ve got a packing list for y’all at the bottom of this post! When traveling for only a few days away, the more I can double up wearing pieces the better! I usually like to pack one pair of “cute” shoes and wear my comfy shoes and outfit for travel days!

As I also mentioned in my must have baby items blog post – I try to use clean products on my baby when possible! These wipes and these diapers are free from synthetic fragrances & dyes and don’t contain any allergens, parabens, etc. When packing for a weekend trip, I would take an entire pack of wipes and about 10 diapers for each day we are gone! For sleep time, I would take our Graco pack n’ play (one of my most used baby items that has grown with him!). TIP: If you forget a sound machine, you can download free apps that will also do the trick!

Date Night

Whether it’s a picnic at your AirBnb or a movie in the park – this portable playard is a MUST! It’s so easy to set up and is a perfect place for your little one to hang out with some toys to play with! I love that you can use it with the canopy up, down, or halfway zipped. Safe + convenient for Mom, Dad, and baby is a win for everyone.
